    Civic Center Permits 

    The Civic Center Program enables the use of school facilities in accordance with the California Education Code, which permits public school facilities for the community and non-profit organizations to use. Risk Management's responsibility is to assess risk and insurance requirements for compliance, aiming to safeguard the District's Students, Personnel, Property and Licensees.

     

    Insurance Guidlines

    • Non-Lausd Entities and Third-party Individuals or Organizations Must Provide Proof of Insurance Before Using Any Lausd Facility, Under a Civic Center Permit.
    • Required Coverage May Consist of Commercial General Liability, Commercial Automobile, Worker's Comp, Sexual Abuse & Molestations Insurance
    • Note That the Standard Insurance Requirements May Vary Based on the Types of Activity, Especially for Athletics, Refers to Civic Center Insurance Requirements: Non-athletic or Athletic for Details. 
    • The Risk and Insurance Assessment Depend on the Completeness of the Applications and Certificate(S) of Insurance.
    • Applicants Lacking Commercial Automobile Insurance Can Request and Sign a Waiver
    • Applicants Exempt from Worker's Compensation May Request and Sign a Waiver for Compliance.

     

    The District must be added as additional insurance and all Certificates of Insurance endorsements must read:
