• Employee Relations

     

  • The Office of Employee Relations supports safe and welcoming environments for students by working to ensure the quality of our employees.
     
    Specifically, we:
    • Collaborate with partners in the dismissal, discipline, non-reelection, and demotion of certificated and classified employees as necessary

    • Monitor criminal misconduct and below standard performance of employees so that appropriate actions can occur 

    • Conduct fingerprint and conviction reviews for prospective employees as part of our mission to hire a highly qualified workforce

    • Provide timely and appropriate background check and employment clearance information to District hiring offices and external partners

    In addition, we support employees by serving as the Custodian of District Employee Records, which includes:

    • Responding to requests and subpoenas for employee records 

    • Providing employment verification

     

  • Important Information for School Districts, County Offices of Education, Charter Schools, and State Special Schools Considering an Applicant for a Certificated Position

    To request information about applicants previously employed by LAUSD, in compliance with AB-2534, contact the Office of Employee Relations at employeerelations@lausd.net.  Be sure to include "AB-2534 Request" in the subject line; and in the request include the applicant's name and their date of birth and/or last four digits of the SSN.
