There are three ways members of the public may access this Committee Meeting: (1) online, (2) by telephone by calling 213-338-8477 and entering the Meeting ID, or (3) in person. Please note that due to the continued public health risks associated with COVID-19, the Board Room will be operating at reduced capacity.
The Board of Education encourages public comment. Any individual wishing to address the Board must register to speak using the Speaker Sign Up website: https://boardmeeting.lausd.net/speakers, and indicate whether comments will be provided over the phone or in person. Registration will open 24 hours before the meeting.
- A maximum of 15 speakers may sign up for general Public Comment
Speakers who do not register online to provide comments may use the following alternative methods to provide comments to Board Members:
- Email all Board Members at boardmembers@lausd.net;
- Mail comments via US Mail to 333 S. Beaudry Ave., Los Angeles, CA 90017; and
- Leave a voicemail message at (213) 443-4472, or fax (213) 241-8953. Communications received by 5 p.m. the day before the meeting will be distributed to all Board Members.
Speakers registered to provide public comments over the phone need to follow these instructions:
- Call 213-338-8477 and enter Meeting ID at the beginning of the meeting.
- Press #, and then # again when prompted for the Participant ID.
- Remain on hold until it is your turn to speak. You will be able to hear the meeting over the phone while you are on hold, or you can watch the meeting on the live video stream until your item comes before the Board.
- Callers will be identified based on their phone number. You will need to call in from the same phone number entered on the Speaker Sign Up website. If you call in from a private or blocked phone number, we will be unable to identify you.
- Callers will know to speak when receiving the signal that their phone has been removed from hold and or unmuted. Callers will then press *6 (Star 6) and be brought into the meeting.

- How can I view committee meetings if I'm unable to attend the meeting in-person?

Yes. There are several options available for the community to watch committee meetings. Meetings are televised on the District's TV station KLCS, livestreamed on the District's website lausd.net. In addition, committee meetings can also be livestreamed from the Curriculum and Instruction Committee's homepage www.lausd.org/cic.and are able to be viewed on the Zoom platform.

Meetings are held in the Los Angeles Unified School District Board of Education Board Meeting Room. The board room is located at 333 South Beaudry Ave, Los Angeles, CA 90017
- How can the public access the agenda and materials for an upcoming committee meeting?

The Order of Business for Regular and Special meetings of the Board of Education and the agendas for Committee meetings shall include a list of items to be presented to the Board at that meeting and shall be posted in the lobby of the Administrative Offices at 333 South Beaudry Avenue at least 72 hours prior to the time of a Regular Board or Committee meetings and at least 24 hours prior to the time of a Special Board meeting (in compliance with Education Code Sections 35144 and 35145 and Government Code Section 54954.2). Agendas and materials are also available on the District's website lausd.net. by selecting the board of education meeting agenda tab.
