Personnel Research and Analysis

The Personnel Research and Analysis section guides the Human Resources work in the areas of certificated classification and compensation, administrator recruitment and assessment, and personnel policy guides.
Personnel Research and Analysis is responsible for the following work in certificated service:
- creating and maintaining classification descriptions, classification system, and compensation plan
- conducting job and classification studies of certificated and unclassified positions
- developing and facilitating non-school based positions recruitment and selection process and conducting interview panel trainings
- facilitating requests for freeze exemption for staffing
- analyzing current impact and implications for human capital strategies
- creating and revising Human Resources and Los Angeles Unified policies
- providing technical advice and resources to District offices and staff, Board of Education members, and outside agencies
