    MiSiS Announcements:

     

    System Requirements Update – Mozilla Firefox

    The Information Technology Services Customer Service team will no longer provide support for Mozilla Firefox. Please refer to the System Requirements page for the latest recommended browsers for MiSiS.

     

    The following items have been enhanced/corrected in MiSiS:

     

    Enrollment

    • The Annual Forms Checklist screen has been enhanced to display student "Google Opt Out" data submitted via the Parent and Principal portals.
    • The Military Family Members screen has been corrected to allow users to enter records as expected.
    • The Annual Forms Checklist report has been corrected to generate as intended.

     

    Extended Learning

    • The Extended Learning screen has been enhanced as follows:
      • addition of the "Interventionist" screens to support the program.
      • to prevent overlapping Attendance Recovery sections.
    • The following reports have been enhanced to include the Interventionist program data:
      • Extended Program: Student Roster
      • Extended Program Scheduling - Students
      • Extended Program Scheduling - Sections
      • Attendance Summary Report - Extended Learning

     

    Scheduling

    • The Placement of Special Ed for Students sub-report has been enhanced with updated rules for identifying PLTEL and LTEL students.

     

    Attendance

    • The Teacher Roster - Mass Contact Log screen has been corrected to display all students on the teacher roster.
    • The Carlson Home Teacher Roster screen has been enhanced to require comments only on the last instructional day of the week when minutes are less than 300.
    • The Attendance Summary report has been corrected to accurately display Attendance Recovery absence reason codes.
    • The Master Absence report has been enhanced to support elementary grade levels across all school types.

     

    Census

    • The Student School Exclusions screen has been corrected to no longer display duplicate values for students.

     

    English Learner

    • The IEP Reclassification Letter report has been enhanced to include Summative/Alternate Summative ELPAC test details.
    • The American Indian and Indigenous Student Roster report has been enhanced to include additional data columns.
    • The Individual Reclassification Acceleration Plan report has been enhanced with updated rules for identifying PLTEL and LTEL students. The updated Individual Reclassification Acceleration Plan job aid is available on the MiSiS website.
    • The Annual English Learner Letter report has been enhanced to display A-G on-track/off-track status and graduation year for students in grades 9-12.

     

    Graduation Standards

    • The Graduation Standards screen has been corrected to accurately display the LAUSD Official GPA.
    • The Credit Recovery/Intervention/Acceleration/Enrichment Plan screen has been enhanced with updated rules so that courses no longer display in the Course dropdown for Credit Recovery if a student passes an equivalent course with a grade of C or better.
    • The Individual Graduation Plan (IGP) report has been enhanced to include updated college course codes in the College Enrollment section.

     

    Homeless

    • The Homeless Student Roster report has been corrected to only include students within the user-selected Begin and End Enrollment Dates.

     

    Linked Learning

    • The Linked Learning/CTE screen has resolved an issue that prevented Pathway End Dates from updating after selecting an inactive pathway.

     

    Student Support

    • The Manage Option School Referral screen has been enhanced to allow Principals access to the student ID link.
    • The Support Referral screen has been enhanced by discontinuing the Discipline Referral reason “3.95 - Disrupted school-wide activities (Admin issued, gr 9-12)” and creating a new code “3.96 Disrupted school-wide activities” for which the suspension tab is disabled.
    • The Assigned Counselor report has been corrected to display accurate student grade levels.

    The following items have been enhanced/corrected in MiSiS:

     

    Enrollment

    • The Enrollment screen has been enhanced for Designated Capped Schools to allow student enrollment even while capped. Additionally, it provides users with clear information about the corresponding Designated Capped Receiver Schools.
    • The Annual Forms Checklist screen has been enhanced to display "Google Opt-In / Out" consents when entered in the Parent and Principal Portal.
    • The Transfer screen has been enhanced to display all valid transfer locations, ensuring users have complete visibility when processing transfers.

     

    Scheduling

    • The Co-Teacher Section Assignments report has been corrected to display only active co-teachers assigned to sections.

     

    Attendance

    • The Student Truancy report has been corrected to ensure the student profile hyperlink displays properly.
    • The Attendance Recovery screen has been corrected to ensure access is functioning properly, with eligible roles listed in the Attendance Recovery Screen job aid.
    • The Continuation Teacher Roster screen has been corrected to display all students scheduled in the roster, regardless of whether attendance has been submitted by office staff.

     

    English Learner

    • The RFEP Monitoring Roster report has been enhanced to include math composite marks to determine academic progress for students in elementary grades K-6.

     

    Extended Learning

    • The Extended Learning screens have been corrected to allow Enrichment Teacher and Extended Learning School Admin roles to submit attendance without any time restrictions.

     

    GATE

    • The GATE Referral screen has been enhanced to automatically end GATE Verified records when students are found eligible for GATE services (excluding Visual and Performing Arts categories).

     

    Grades

    • The Grades screen has been enhanced to update the Special Education grading comment code.

     

    Graduation Standards

    • The Graduation Eligibility Status for 2016 & Beyond report has been corrected to ensure proper display of counselor names on the dropdown and report.

     

    Homeless

    • The Information Release School Exclusion screen has been corrected to automatically create records when a MiSiS Homeless record is entered.
    • The Homeless Screen has been corrected to display the correct Start and End Dates when users edit a student record.

     

    Independent Study

    • The Independent Study Master Agreement screen has been corrected for Short-Term IS to allow users to select an End Date before a holiday, and the ISSD field now defaults to the student’s scheduled teacher. If the student is scheduled with multiple teachers, all will display in the ISSD dropdown.

     

    Linked Learning

    • The Linked Learning/CTE screen, Section E – Work Based Learning has been enhanced to include new activity names for apprenticeship categories.

     

    State Reports

    • The Secondary Statistical/SMASR report has been enhanced to include all Secondary CDS schools.

     

    Student Testing

    • The Testing Reports have been enhanced to improve usability by removing outdated reports. The ELPAC Coding Roster and SBA ELA Exemption reports have been decommissioned and are no longer available for selection.
