Office of ADA Compliance

  • The Office of ADA Compliance (ADAC) works to coordinate District efforts under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), and to ensure District programs, services, activities and websites are accessible by students with disabilities as well as parents and community members with disabilities.  The District’s Self-Evaluation and Transition Plan under Title II of the ADA was adopted by the Board on October 10, 2017, and serves as a blueprint for focused activities by ADAC.

ADAC monitors bond construction, the Rapid Access Program (RAP), and other activities, and provides ADA technical guidance to District offices, divisions and departments.  ADAC reviews District practices with respect to program accessibility, and creates supportive policies and training for ADA compliance.

By increasing awareness of disabilities and accessibility requirements under the law and District policy, ADAC joins in fostering a culture of inclusion for students and other individuals with disabilities, and positioning students for success through accessible school environments.

Los Angeles Unified School District (District) is committed to ensuring that the content on its website and web pages are readily accessible.  The District’s website is designed to ensure that people with disabilities can effectively access, understand, navigate, and interact. The website and supporting web pages are a combination of new and old technologies, and new and old content.

To request ADA-related access or to report a possible accessibility violation of Title II of the ADA, Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act or Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act, please contact Kenneth Arrington, ADA Compliance Administrator, at ADA-info@LAUSD.net or call 213 241-4530.
