Summer of Learning
  • Join us from June 20 – July 19 and make the most of this year’s Summer of Learning.

Los Angeles Unified provides students with core academic support, opportunities to enhance their mastery of academic subjects for college readiness, and enrichment courses designed to engage and motivate students in learning through self-selected courses of interest. Our robust summer school programs will not only give students the opportunity to have structured social interactions, but access to expanded paid internship opportunities as they continue to imagine the possibilities and prepare to be Ready for the World.

  •  Universal Transitional Kindergarten to 8th Grade

Universal Transitional Kindergarten to 8th Grade Summer programming provides our youngest learners the opportunity to master learning fundamentals, receive targeted academic intervention support, and in-person enrichment activities such as Art and Science Day Camp.

Virtual Academy: Universal Transitional Kindergarten to 8th Grade                               (For Current Virtual Academy Students Only)

Offering a virtual option for summer programming ensures that students who learn best through virtual platforms can still benefit from targeted academic intervention and enrichment activities. By mirroring the in-person program, the program provides consistency and ensures that all students have access to the same level of support and enrichment, regardless of their learning preferences or circumstances. This inclusive approach is likely to benefit a wide range of students and help them stay engaged and continue learning over the summer break. Providing opportunities in literacy, mathematics, physical education, art, and STEAM ensures a well-rounded experience that caters to different interests and learning styles. Overall, it's a great way to support student learning and development during the summer months.

    9th Grade to 12th Grade

High school students can take advantage of in person and virtual credit recovery courses and virtual enrichment courses for acceleration in order to prepare for post-secondary education.
