    Updates - Inter-District Permits

    2025-2026 School Year (one School District to another School District)

    The online inter-district permit window will open from February 1st through April 30th. After the window closes, the application will remain open for ALL incoming inter-district permits and for outgoing parent employment requests only.

    Note:

    • Students who have a valid inter-district permit to attend a specific school may continue attendance in that same school without re-applying annually to the district of residence or district of attendance. 
    • When the student matriculates (elementary to middle or middle to high school), or there is a change of school placement, a new permit application is required. 

     

    2024-2025 School Year (one School District to another School District)

    The application remains open for all incoming permit requests and outgoing requests based upon parent employment.  For more information click here.

     

     

    Intra-District Permit (resident LAUSD school to another LAUSD school)

    Initial intra-district permits will be accepted at the school site starting on the second Monday of March. Approval by both the school of residence and requested LAUSD school is required.

    If you are a resident of the LAUSD (live within LAUSD school boundaries) and would like to attend another LAUSD school, please follow the intra-district permit process.
