Anyone with information regarding fraud, waste, abuse, or misconduct in the Los Angeles Unified School District should report it immediately using the OIG Hotline.
Reporting Fraud, Waste, and Abuse
The OIG operates a Hotline so anyone can easily report allegations of fraud, waste, abuse, or misconduct occurring within the District. Allegations can be reported online via our hotline 24 hours a day, seven days a week. The OIG receives hundreds of reports from concerned employees, vendors, and the public, most of which are either investigated by the OIG or referred to local district administrators for review and disposition.Complaints regarding personnel matters and/or management are typically not investigated by the OIG unless there is evidence of wrongdoing. To ensure that your report is given adequate attention, you must provide reliable, accurate, and detailed information.Prior to submitting a report, make sure you have the correct spelling of names, employee and vendor numbers (if available), position and program titles, work location, special funding source (e.g. bond funds, Title I, etc.), and any other pertinent detail. This will ensure that your report is handled properly. Choose one of the following methods to report fraud, waste, and abuse:
- Complete the online OIG Reporting Form for the Office of the Inspector General.
- Complete and Print the OIG Reporting Form and submit it to the Office of the Inspector General via mail, fax or email as indicated on the form.
Information reported to the Office of the Inspector General is confidential. Identifying information, and personal papers or correspondence from any person reporting information to the Inspector General, shall not be disclosed unless otherwise required by law or court order. Information may be released in those cases where the Inspector General determines it is necessary to serve the interests of the District.
