Welcome to Student Support Programs Fiscal Services Unit!
Student Support Programs Fiscal Services
Responsible for budgeting and financial analysis of resources managed by the Divisions of Special Education and Student Health and Human Services. The Unit is also responsible for budget development and maintenance of these resources at all district schools. This includes developing an overall budget consistent with the strategic operating plan, tracking and monitoring expenditures, ensuring compliance with regulations and guidelines, preparation of mandated reports, and managing itinerant positions.
Special Education Local Plan Area (SELPA) Fiscal Services
Special Education Local Plan Area (SELPA) Fiscal Services oversees the districtwide annual budgeting and allocation process of $1.5 Billion centrally. SELPA Fiscal Services also provides fiscal support to fiscally independent charter schools. The Unit manages and directs the preparation, development, resource allocation, and monitoring of the special education budget for District schools, external fiscally independent charter schools, and SELPA.In addition, SELPA Fiscal Services provides financial transactional processing of payments to nonpublic school/agencies, inter-district permits, Educationally Related Intensive Counseling Services (ERICS) contracts, and reimbursements to attain operational improvements and efficiency. The unit also performs expenditure and preparation of special education mandated reports.Mission Statement
