The Family Care and Medical Leave is available to an employee who has been employed for 12 months and has worked at least 130 workdays during the 12 months preceding the request for leave.
- This is an unpaid leave, but benefits are covered.
- Leave cannot exceed 12 work weeks in a year.
- Teacher has return rights back to the same school.
- Benefits are maintained.
