Williams Textbook Sufficiency Hearing Will Be Held on September 28, 2021

 LOS ANGELES (September 2, 2021) – The public will have the opportunity to comment on the sufficiency of textbooks and other instructional materials used by Los Angeles Unified School District at the Board of Education meeting to be held on Tuesday, September 28, no earlier than 4:00 p.m.

California Education Code requires that every student have a state-adopted, standards-based textbook or computer application to use in their English-language arts, math, history/social science, science and health classes. Students must be assigned a single textbook/application in each subject that they can use both at home and in class.

The Board of Education is committed to ensuring the health and safety of the community. As a precaution to help prevent the spread of Covid-19, there will  no speakers allowed in the Board Room. Speakers must sign up in advance via the Spearkers Sign Up website:
