    The Los Angeles Unified School District has many test centers available to serve students in need of their High School Equivalency Certificate (formerly referred to as the "GED certificate")

    GED ® Update

    Since 1942 the GED® was the ONLY test that lead to a  High School Equivalency Certificate.
     
    The CA State Board of Education has TWO exams, which are the HiSET® and the GED®.
     
    LAUSD now offers the HiSET® (High School Equivalency Test).
     
     
    If you pass the HiSET® you will earn your
    California High School Equivalency Certificate.
