Welcome to the STEP UP and Teach and BOOST programs. We are happy to support you on your journey to becoming a California prepared teacher. This is a wonderful opportunity for the Career Ladder team to provide you with mentoring, financial assistance, and guidance on pathways to certification. Please check here periodically for announcements and important reminders.Getting Started!The STEP UP and Teach and BOOST Policy Guides provide you with information about program requirements and member benefits. All members are expected to become familiar with their program policy guide as it will serve as your roadmap for teacher certification.

All members are encouraged to maintain an online application. Your online application will serve as your file cabinet, where you will upload and store important documentation required for teaching. Documentation may include official transcripts, exam scores, and a current resume. It is important to maintain your online application as it will eventually become your teaching application.
Current and new Career Ladder members:Click here to create or maintain your online application.When creating an account:- In the Personal Information tab > for Applicant Type > select Career Ladder
- In the Address tab > for Permanent Email Address > use a personal email address (not an LAUSD email address)
- In the Address tab > for LAUSD Email > add your LAUSD email address (this is required for all current LAUSD employees)
- In the Attributes tab > for LAUSD Employee Number > add your LAUSD employee number (this is required for all current LAUSD employees)
For existing users, if you have forgotten your Username and/or Password, click on "Having trouble logging in?" on the landing page.

Individualized Mentorship Plan (IMP) Meetings
Members are required to meet with a Career Ladder Specialist at minimum once per school year to review, discuss and document the progress that has been made towards meeting your educational and/or credential goals. You may schedule your annual IMP meeting with a Career Ladder Specialist of your choice. Please follow one of the links below to view availability and schedule a meeting.
Please note that we are also available to meet with you at anytime throughout the year to answer any questions you may have during this process.
