  • Regional Accreditation

  • To apply for a certificated position, you must hold, at a minimum, a bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited institution (the regional accreditation must be valid during the time coursework was completed and when the degree was conferred per the date(s) on the official transcript).  LAUSD cannot employ candidates who possess a non-accredited degree, as they will not qualify for the necessary documents from the Commission on Teacher Credentialing (CTC).

You can find the Commission on Teacher Credentialing information page on regional accreditation at https://www.ctc.ca.gov/credentials/what-does-regional-accreditation-mean.
