Voluntary Teacher Initiated Transfer Program

The following program description conforms to the guidelines and is subject to the provisions cited in the 2022-2025 District-UTLA Agreement, Article XI, Transfers, Section 5.0, Voluntary Teacher-Initiated Transfer Program, Click here to view the contract.

All appropriately, credentialed probationary or permanent teachers are eligible to apply to any school in the District. Such approval lies within the discretion of both parties and transfers under this section are not subject to the grievance procedure.

If you meet the eligibility criteria listed above, please submit your transfer form(s) to HRSupportServices@lausd.net.  If you are eligible and have secured another position to transfer to a new location, please direct your questions to the hiring administrator or the personnel specialist for the school. The specialist will finalize your transfer once all required documentation and approval are obtained.
