Team:
The Region North Special Education Service Center team has extensive knowledge in special education assessments, IEP process, standards-based teaching and learning in support of students with an Individualized Education Program (IEP). We work with schools to implement strategies and professional development for core instruction, alternate curriculum, assessments, IEP process, behavior support, and transition services.
Our team understands the complexities of supporting students with disabilities to be successful during and beyond their academic careers. Each Community of Schools (COS) has an Administrator referred to as a Specialist, Special Education or LRE Specialist and an out-of-classroom teacher referred to as a Program Specialist, both of which are assigned to support the staff and families within their assigned COS. Members of our Special Education team have held a range of TK-12 positions, including general and special education teachers, coordinators, specialists and administrators. Together, we strive to provide cohesive services to all Region North staff, students, and families.
