    The Foreign Student Admissions Office (FSAO) strives to enrich the educational environment of the LAUSD by supporting and advancing the recruitment, admission, and enrollment of eligible foreign students on both F1 and J1 visas into LAUSD high schools. 
     

    UPDATE (as of October 14, 2024) 

    We are pleased to announce that the LAUSD resumed admissions for J-1 Exchange Students in the Fall of 2024. The District is currently planning for the re-opening of F-1 student admissions for the 2025-2026 school year. 

    The admissions process has been updated and all agencies are required to have a fully executed Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) and Certificate of Insurance (COI) on file with the District prior to submitting student applications. Interested agencies should email the FSAO at studyinla@lausd.net. 

    Any paperwork related to acceptance or enrollment must be signed by the Foreign Student Admissions Office.
