What is Innovation?
In the world of education, innovation comes in many forms. There are innovations in the way schools are organized and managed. There are innovations in instructional techniques and delivery. Ultimately, these innovations aim to address an important challenge in education with the goal of boosting student achievement.
The Division of Instruction - Innovation Office (DOI-IO) supports educators across the Los Angeles Unified School District (LAUSD) to develop, learn from, and scale innovative and effective approaches to serving our district's diverse and highest-needs students. These teachers, school leaders, local district, and central office partnerships and nonprofit organizations are at the forefront of building the tools and strategies that enable all of our students to succeed.Through partnerships with schools, local districts, nonprofit organizations and California Department of Education, the Division of Instruction - Innovation Office drives education innovation by both seeding innovative promising practices/strategies, and bringing proven approaches to scale.
