Communicable Disease/Immunization Program
The District Nursing Communicable Disease Control Team maintains and promotes wellness in our schools and community by ensuring a healthy and safe learning environment for students to grow and for employees to work through preventing and diminishing the spread of communicable diseases.
As the District Nursing Communicable Disease Control Team, we adhere to the strict guidelines and recommendations set forth by the Department of Public Health and Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) related to identification, reporting, treatment and prevention of communicable diseases.
District Nursing Communicable Disease Control Team, Student Medical Services and Employee Health Services are available for consultation having to do with communicable disease diagnosis, exclusion, reporting, readmission and notification in our schools and communities.
The District Nursing Communicable Disease Control Team provides over 20,000 immunizations annually to students.
