2017-18 SUMMATIVE CAASPP COORDINATOR TRAINING FOR LD WEST REF-044781 Student Testing Branch is offering the mandatory training for School site CAASPP Coordinators. Attending the session is required for all schools. 

Student Testing Branch is offering the 2018 Smarter Balanced Summative Coordinator Training for LD West only on

Monday 021218 at  L.A. High School Memorial Hall,

8:00 - 11:30am and 12:30 - 4:00pm.

All trainings are 3.5 hours long and are offered twice per day Sign up is in the learning zone (keyword CAASPP).

Educational Testing Service has planned maintenance downtime for this weekend. There will be no software changes to the CAASPP applications. The Test Operations Management System application will be taken off-line for routine database maintenance starting Saturday, May 20, at approximately 7 p.m. The work will be completed early Sunday morning at approximately 2 a.m. 

The MiSIS team is working on a issue that affects the Smarter Balanced labels and rosters. When users generate labels, a rosters of students is also generated at the end of the file. If users print the report as is, labels and rosters print together. If label sheets are loaded on the printer, the labels and rosters print on label sheets. Until this glitch is fixed, it is recommended that users view all pages on the report to determine the number of pages of labels and the number of pages of reports. Users should limit the print job to the desired page range.

REF-6858, Final CELDT Administration and Secure Collection of Obsolete Materials, 2016-17 Edition, dated May 8, 2017, the secure collection of obsolete CELDT materials window for the 2016-17 Edition opens May 8th and goes through June 8th. The window for Bell High School is from June 19th through June 26th. All CELDT materials will need to be out of the school by the end of the secure collection of obsolete materials window.

The CELDT Coordinator is responsible for delivering the CELDT test materials to their designated Testing Center on June 9th for single track and June 27th for Bell High school, if materials are not picked up by Trucking. The CELDT coordinator will complete the Secure Collection of Obsolete Materials Online Form to indicate the school’s preference for returning obsolete CELDT materials to the District. The form must be completed by June 1, 2017 (June 19 for Bell HS).

Do not return the 2016-17 CELDT Training Binder with your obsolete CELDT materials. The training binders should be kept at the school in a secure location to be used next school year. No new binders will be distributed at the Local District CELDT Coordinator’s Trainings for the 2017-18 school year.

Some users trying to access their scorecards from Certify and are getting an error message.   We have determined that any user who has access to any English Learner rule will not be able to access their scorecards. Certify programmers are busy working to fix the issue.  If all goes as planned, there will be a special run for the Email notifications for Friday, 05/19 and users who had issues with their scorecards should be able to access the reports at that time.  https://www.lausd.org/Page/11962

Preliminary scores for some students who took summative assessments this year are now available in the Online Reporting System (ORS). It is important to remember that these preliminary results are for school use only. These preliminary scores should not be shared with the public or parents. Official parent reports will be mailed by the Student Testing Branch to parents/ guardians when the District receives reports from the state. The general public will have access to aggregate reports on the CDE Web site.
