  • Purpose of the Review of Instructional Standards Experience (RISE)

    Review of Instructional Standard Experiences (RISEs) were designed to give paraeducators an opportunity to develop their teaching skills with the guidance of a practicing teacher. RISE activities support you in becoming familiar with descriptions of clear expectations for effective teaching through review of the LAUSD Teaching and Learning Framework (TLF). The TLF describes teaching practices that align to instructional standards that will help to prepare all students to be successful and productive 21st Century learners who are college-prepared and career ready.

    RISE
     
    Once completed, save or scan and upload to your online profile/application in the ATTACHEMENTS tab. After you have completed and uploaded the RISE activity, notify a Career Ladder Specialist by email. You will be invited to provide feedback on a separate evaluation form. If you require support with completing the RISE activities, please schedule an appointment with a Career Ladder Specialist.
