LAUSD is proud to announce the launch of a new global support tool for students, families, and employees to get any type of support they need.
The Self-Service Portal is an all-in-one online tool that provides students, parents, and employees with all new ways to access support, including:
- A searchable online knowledge base of support articles on a variety of topics,
- A virtual chat tool to help point users in the right direction.
- The ability to submit and track support tickets anytime from anywhere.

- Parents and community members will need a Parent Portal account to login.
- To register for a Parent Portal account, please visit https://parentportalapp.lausd.net/parentaccess/.
- Also, please allow up to two to three business days for the Self-Service Portal to process your registration request.

What is the Self-Service Portal?
The Self-Service Portal is a suite of customer support tools that helps students, families, employees and others find the information they are looking for and request help whenever they need it. The system has several self-service options, including a searchable service catalogue and virtual chat bot available 24/7 and can also be used to request and track support for specific issues in a variety of areas.

What kinds of support does the Self-Service Portal offer?
The Self-Service Portal is a global support tool, as it offers more than just tech support. You can use the Self-Service Portal to seek help with things like academic tools, parent and community resources, health and wellness, and a great deal more. As our communities support needs continue to expand, so will the Self-Service Portal support catalogue.

Do I need a special account to access the Self-Service Portal?
While the online support catalogue is open to the public, parents/guardians and employees can log in with a single-sign on account to request and track direct support. If you are a parent or guardian and don’t yet have a parent portal account, register for one now. Please allow 2 business days for the account to be processed.

How do you access the Self-Service Portal?
Point any browser or mobile device to Self-Service Portal to search/browse a catalogue of useful, helpful articles or request support. We will continue to develop multiple avenues to the Self-Service Portal, including from within the LAUSD Mobile App to ensure support is accessible to you whenever you need it.

How responsive is the Self-Service Portal?
Our customer support teams continue to monitor support request volumes and adjust the numbers of technicians available to meet demand. The Self-Service Portal also allows you to log in any time and track the status of a request, so you can ensure your request is receiving the attention it deserves.
