Public Hearing Scheduled for September 10 for Williams Textbook Sufficiency Resolution
The public will have the opportunity to comment on the sufficiency of textbooks and other instructional materials used by Los Angeles Unified School District during the Board of Education meeting no earlier than 4 p.m., Tuesday, September 10, 2024.
California Education Code requires that every student have a state or district adopted, standard-based textbook, either print or e-version, to use in their English language/Reading, math, history/social science, science, world language, and health classes.
Students must be assigned a single textbook (hard copy or digital copy) in each subject that they can use both at home and in class.
The hearing will be held in the Board Room at Los Angeles Unified headquarters, 333 S. Beaudry Avenue. The agenda and other information will be available on September 10, 2024 at https://www.lausd.org/boe
